Hazarat Hajimastan Darga(R.A),[2] Telsang Original name was Saiyed Damodeen Husaini (R.A) but most people know them by the name of Hajimastan. Its name indicates that Haji means Makka's people and mastan means respectable master personality and to build between these saints are arrived from western country for people welfare.[clarification needed] Hazarat Hajimastan (Hajimakki) was Sufi of Chisti Chain and Shree Siddarameshwer (Saaruv Swami) were monks of Shree Siddarameshwer. He first came to Bannar Village of Athani taluq from Solapur Distinct of Maharashtra and they had been administering three villages which are Telsang, Kannal and Bannur. They had been living in this village in the 13th century.

In Telsang there was 13 mosques. Now it has 5 mosques. Some mosques were built by Bijapur Imperial. Some mosques had destroyed by an earthquake and nature disaster .

Just 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) away from Telsang towards Jamakhandi, there is another old temple of Lord Shree Banada Mallikarjuna. On every last Monday of shravana masa, all village people gather and worship this god. This temple is surrounded by many trees.

Now recently the renovation of Sri Mallikarjuna and Basavanna Temple present at the village center is done by the village people.

Every year the priest of Sri Mallikarjuna Temple will carry the Kambi (the wooden statue of god) to Srishailam (the holy place in Hydrabad) by foot. (around 600 kilometres (370 mi) from Telsang). In Srisailam the priest performs the pooja of kumbi near the Krishna River (Patal Ganga) and then returns to Telsang. Just after arrival of the kambi in Telsang all village people celebrate the festival called "Mallayyana Aideshi" by singing and chanting the songs of lord Sri Mallikarjuna for 5 days.

People also celebrate a festival called Ellammana Jathra for the goddess Ellamma on Gouri Hunnime every year. A big crowd will be gathered on this occasion to celebrate the Jathra for three days.

Ramadan (Eid Ul Fiter) and bakarid or Eid ul Zuha festivals are celebrated by the Muslims every year. In Telsang, there were many monuments, but now only Jamia Majid remains. This was built in the 17th century, and it appears behind lake. Fattusab's Gunda is natural browell here whenever water is coming from the ground.
