The Good That Men Do is a Star Trek: Enterprise relaunch novel, which was released in March 2007.
Synopsis
Over two hundred years ago, Commander Charles "Trip" Tucker III died in the line of duty...or did he? It is now early in the 25th Century when an older Jake Sisko gets a friendly social call from Nog with a holoimager containing a story that goes against everything they were raised to believe about the pre-Federation Coalition of Planets, and a possible conspiracy to rewrite history.
Background Information
- Two recurring characters from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, namely Jake Sisko and Nog, appear in the framing story of this novel.
- The framing story also establishes that Section 31, the former rogue black ops agency within the Federation, has ceased to exist. The exact circumstances of the fall of Section 31 have not yet been revealed.
- The novel reframes the final Star Trek: Enterprise episode, "These Are the Voyages", presenting the holographic simulations depicted in that episode as being deliberately faked by the rogue black ops agency Section 31.
