The Packinghouse Christian Fellowship is a Christian church located in Redlands, California. Established in 1979, the fellowship also includes a Christian school called 'Packinghouse Christian Academy'.

The lead pastor of the church is Ed Rea. The vision at The Packinghouse Christian Fellowship is "Knowing God And Making Him Known." While being strongly evangelistic, Pastor Ed teaches through the bible one Saturday evening (6:30 p.m.) and three Sunday morning services at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Pastor Greg Opean teaches the Wednesday (7p.m.) and Sunday evening (6:30 p.m.) services.

At the beginning of each service, the Packinghouse Worship Band a Christian Rock Band leads worship with well known Christian rock songs. Every week the Packinghouse invites a well known Christian artist to play and sing. They have enjoyed many gifted musicians including Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns,Newsboys, Sonic Flood, Phil Keaggy, Jars of Clay, etc.. Each service is streamed live on the church website in a webcast and can also be viewed in an archived format.

Facilities

In 2005, the church initiated a new building plan on adjoining property, increasing the campus to 27 acres (110,000 m2). The new building's facilities include a wired Coffee shop, Cafe and Bookstore. The main sanctuary contains movie theater style seating with a large clear view balcony offering combined comfortable seating for 3,000 people. The sanctuary includes two large video screens and a fully equipped stage with full surround sound throughout the entire church. The fellowship also has an adjacent outdoor amphitheater where evening services are often conducted during mild weather. Harvest Pastor Greg Laurie, founding pastor Don McClure and Ed Rea dedicated the new building in 2006. The historic Sunkist Packinghouse Crown Jewel building houses the Packinghouse Christian Academy.

Packinghouse Christian Academy

Packinghouse Christian Academy, a WASC accredited school, is located in Redlands, California on San Bernardino Avenue. It is located in the former Sunkist Citrus Packinghouse named the Crown Jewel, which is how the school got its name. The school is also adjacent to the Packinghouse Christian Fellowship. The school's principal is Jeff Lindeman. The school includes kindergarten through twelfth grade. The school's mascot is the California Grizzly and their colors are red, gray, and white[citation needed]. The school has a skilled and caring group of teachers that loves kids. 5th Grade student won regional writing competition 2009.
