Tiago do Vale (Portuguese pronunciation: [tjˈa.gu du vˈa.lɨ]) is a Portuguese architect. He is noted for his work on architectural refurbishment and heads the architectural practice Tiago do Vale Architects.[1]
Background and education
Do Vale was born in 1978 in the north of Portugal. He enrolled in the University of Coimbra's Department of Architecture in 1996 studying, among others, under Fernando Távora and Gonçalo Byrne.
Later he went on to integrate the University of Coimbra's managing bodies, both as a Senator and as an Assembly Member.[2]
Career
Starting his firm in 2008, Tiago do Vale regularly lectures on architectural matters. Do Vale was curator of the 2014's "Urban Dialogues, International Architecture Congress", in Portugal, and of the 2015 "Mesturas, International Architecture Encounters", in Spain.[3][4][5]
