Tom Miles is a Democratic member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing the 75th district (Rankin County and Scott County).[1]
In 2013, Miles announced a plan to introduce truth-in-labeling laws, which would require country of origin labels for chicken.[2]
On March 28th, 2016, Miles' wife, Amanda Vance Miles, was arrested at a Belk department store and charged with misdemeanor shoplifting after over $200 worth of jewelry was found in her purse. She was arrested with her aunt, Sheri Prestage, wife of a local constable, who was charged with felony shoplifting when almost $2,000 worth of jewelry was found on her person.[3]
