"Top Down" is a song written and recorded by song by American bro-country duo Fast Ryde. It was released in April 2010 as the duo's final single.
Content
The song is an uptempo song about summertime fun. The first verse features heavy use of autotune from the band members.
Critical reception
Matt Bjorke of Roughstock criticized the duo's use of autotune," but also wrote that "One could even argue that the backing instruments are even more ‘country,’ with audible steel guitar and fiddles, than many of those other songs. This song, espite my own reservations about it because of the 'autotune' usage, is actually likely to give Fast Ryde what they’re looking for - their breakthrough single."[2]
Music video
The music video was directed by Chris Hicky and premiered in May 2010.[3]
