Venissa Head

Venissa Anne Head (born 1 September 1956 in Merthyr Tydfil) is a former international track and field athlete from Wales.
A member of the Cardiff Athletic Club she was part of the British Olympic team for the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, where she took sixth place in the shot put final and seventh place in the discus final.
Head also represented Wales at the Commonwealth Games, winning the silver medal in the discus at the 1986 Commonwealth Games.
She gave birth to a son, Jack Harold, in 1995.
