WKNW is a Sports radio station broadcasting at 1400 kHz on the AM dial serving Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. According to past editions of the Broadcasting Yearbook, the station went on the air as WKNW in August 1990.

The station is currently owned by Sovereign Communications, who acquired the station from Northern Star Broadcasting in 2010.[4] Following the ownership change, WKNW's format was changed from talk (which it had been since the station's inception) to full-time sports programming from ESPN Radio. ESPN Radio programming formerly aired on sister station WSOO during evening and overnight hours and has since been replaced by some of the talk shows that used to air on WKNW.
