It is located along New York State Route 284 north of Unionville and Minisink, and north of the New Jersey state border. The town is intersected mainly by Orange County Rt. 1. Westtown is a community or populated place (Class Code U6) located in Orange County at latitude 41.337 and longitude -74.54. The elevation is 502 feet. Westtown is a part of the Minisink Valley Central School district. The town is made up of many farms and has a small populated street in the center of the town, along Rt. 284. There you can find a local pizza restaurant, video store, two delis, a church, preschool, a hair salon, barber shop, an Arctic Cat snowmobile dealer (Snowcat Country), and a quaint Ice Cream and Dessert Cafe' called The Dairy O.
