Yuval Naimy (Hebrew: יובל נעימי‎) (Born Aogust 31, 1985) is an Israeli professional basketball player, who plays point guard for Ironi Nes Ziona of the Israeli Super League. He also plays for Israeli national basketball team. He is also the brother-in-law of Danny Klein, the team's Chairman at the time.[1]

Professional career

Naimy started his career in Hapoel Jerusalem B.C., with whom he won the ULEB Cup in 2003-2004 season. In the 2005-2006 season, he played for Maccabi Rosh HaAiyn on Liga Leumit. Between the 2005 and 2007, Naimy played in Maccabi Givat Shmuel. During 2007-2008 he played for Ironi Ashkelon, for which he averaged 14.4 points in 27 games in 2007–08.[1][2][3]

In 2008, he returned to Hapoel Jerusalem[1][4][5][6][7][8][9][10] as team's captain, as well as its playmaker.[11][12][13] The newspaper Haaretz described him as "one of the most talented players Jerusalem has seen in years".[14] In 2008-2009 and in 2009-2010 seasons he led Hapoel Jerusalem to win the Winner Cup, and reaching Israeli Final Four.

In June 2012, he signed a one-year contract with Triumph Lyubertsy.[15]

On August 6, 2013, Naimy signed a three-year contract with the Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv.[16]

Israeli national team

Naimy has also played for the Israeli National Basketball Team, and in the summer of 2010, he led the National Team to EuroBasket 2011.[17]
