Alexandre Bonneau

Alexandre Bonneau (24 April 1820 – 1890) was a French civil servant, journalist and writer.

Biography

Alexandre Bonneau was born at the commune of Exoudun in the Deux-Sèvres department. He studied law in Paris. In 1845, he was admitted to the administrative staff of Algeria. He returned to France two years later and became a journalist and editor-in-chief of the Annuaire encyclopédique.

He died in La Mothe-Saint-Héray.
