Members of Nasjonal Samling, the Norwegian fascist party that collaborated with the Nazi regime during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. Membership in the party included passive membership, often for purposes of maintaining a job or protecting a livelihood; naivete about the nature of the Nazi movement; fascist and racist ideology; and opportunism. Some members of the party (like Tomstad) were double agents for the legitimate Norwegian government. In at least two cases (Hjort and Engelschiøn), the person defected from the party and became part of the resistance movement.
