Andata e ritorno (English: Go and back) is a documentary-movie produced in 1985 by movie director Daniele Segre. It is located in Pazzano, a small town in province of Reggio Calabria among 1 November and 4 November 1985. The dialogues are in part in pazzanese dialect with Italian subtitles and part in Italian. There is not an English version or subtitled.

The 30 June of the same year was broadcast by TV on Raidue. The 4,5 and 6 April 2008 it was shown at the Museum Museo Diffuso della Resistenza della Deportazione, della Guerra, dei Diritti e della Libertà in Turin.

Plot

The main character is Carlo Cuteri, a calabrian boy, he comes back to Pazzano (his origin town). By this fact, the documentary talk about the work thematic, the problems about the emigrants and about Pazzano, as symbol of problems of the South of Italy.

Critics

On September 4, 1985 an article on newspaper Oggisud of Claudio Stillitano was dedicated to the movie, because in Pazzano after the people had seen the movie there arose an animated debate. The movie-director Daniele Segre was accused that in the movie there is a bad view of Pazzano and not the real one, on the other hand he answered that his purpose was to show illnesses of the south through Pazzano.
