Summary

A replication of the DUI used for HHB 38th BDE in Osan AFB, Korea. It was drawn using Windows Paint. The original image could not be found. I replicated a black and white image of the DUI found in the "38TH ADA INACTIVATION CEREMONY" Brochure dated 15 July 1981. I improvised the colors based on a description of it made in ‘U.S. Army heraldic crests: a complete illustrated history of ..., Volume 1 by Barry Jason Stein, Peter Joseph Capelotti', p. 30, #13 38TH Air Defense Artillery Brigade (38th ADA Brigade)

"The fleur-de-lis represents service in France during World War I. The taeguk is taken from the Korean flag and represents service in the Korean War. The

silhouette of the device simulates a helmut and refers to the Brigade's origin and descent from the 38th Coast Artillery which had a helmut on its badge."
