Summary

An elephant preparing to take his morning bath in the Periyar River along with the pappan (trainer). Kodanadu Anakkottil is a training place for elephants which are caught in their kid's stage from the forest. Here they give training to understand human commands to be used for festivals and other uses. This video shows a baby elephant taking bath and drinking water from a bucket. This is the only place in Kerala where an Anakkottil can be found. You may reach the place by traveling just 5-6 km from the Cochin International Airport (CIAL), Cochin, Kerala, India.
