Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | to show how to perform a BLAT search using the web-based version of BLAT on the UCSC website. |
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1) |

Not replaceable with textual coverage because (WP:NFCC#1) |
It is clearer to show the search in picutre form than describe in words. |
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) | This image is only intended to be used in the one article BLAT (bioinformatics). It displays only the BLAT search. |
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2) |

Other information | permission has been obtained from the UCSC website to use a screen shot. The DNA sequence in the screen shot is taken from the NCBI website which states 'Databases of molecular data on the NCBI Web site include such examples as nucleotide sequences (GenBank), protein sequences, macromolecular structures, molecular variation, gene expression, and mapping data. They are designed to provide and encourage access within the scientific community to sources of current and comprehensive information. Therefore, NCBI itself places no restrictions on the use or distribution of the data contained therein'. |
