They were still quite pretty, but weren't at their hill carpeting photogenic best. Luckily these tiny goldfields took over the job of floral carpeting which is quite a job for a flower that's only the size of a fingernail. </li> <li>(<a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://www.calflora.org/cgi-bin/species_query.cgi?where-calrecnum=4577">Calflora</a>) (<a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://www.enature.com/fieldguide/showSpeciesGS.asp?curGroupID=11&searchText=Lasthenia+californica&curPageNum=1&recnum=WF0636">eNature</a>)</li> </ul>
