Summary
Cores in a quaternary lagoonal "chott" in Tunisia, showing a typical "shallowing upward" quaternary to recent sequence, from marine lagoonal (blue) to intertidal (yellow) algal mats. Black soil at the top. See Davaud, Strasser & M'Rabet (field guide 1991). Identical sequences are described by Septfontaine (1985) in the Middle Liassic of Morocco (-190 Ma).
