Summary

Church in the woods. This is one of the very few churches in England that has until now remained unphotographed for Geograph. It is a Roman Catholic church, built under the instructions of the then owner of Lynford Hall, Yolande Lyne Stephens. According to the Norfolk Churches website http://www.norfolkchurches.co.uk/lynford/lynford.htm, she was fed up with having to travel to Thetford for services, so in 1878 ordered this church to be built on her estate. Mass is still held here, on Saturday evenings, as 'anticipatory for Sunday'.
