The church was established in 1894, and is the site of the first <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Catholicism_in_Croatia" class="extiw" title="en:Roman Catholicism in Croatia">Croatian Catholic</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parish_(Catholic_Church)" class="extiw" title="en:Parish (Catholic Church)">Parish</a> in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States" class="extiw" title="en:United States">America</a>. The church, as pictured, was built from 1900 to 1904, and is on the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Pittsburgh_Landmarks" class="extiw" title="en:List of Pittsburgh Landmarks">List of Pittsburgh Landmarks</a> recognized by the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pittsburgh_History_and_Landmarks_Foundation" class="extiw" title="en:Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation">Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation</a> (PHLF). Architect: <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_C._Sauer" class="extiw" title="en:Frederick C. Sauer">Frederick C. Sauer</a> (1860–1942). The congregation later moved to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Nicholas_Croatian_Church" class="extiw" title="en:St. Nicholas Croatian Church">St. Nicholas Croatian Church</a> in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millvale,_Pennsylvania" class="extiw" title="en:Millvale, Pennsylvania">Millvale, Pennsylvania</a>, where it is currently located. That church was built in 1900, and the architect was also Frederick C. Sauer.
