A caged <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/leopard" class="extiw" title="en:leopard">leopard</a> called "The Great Mogul", escapes form confinement and wanders into a yard where dogs are chained. Mistress of the house, Dorothy, releases "Marquis" an <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Mastiff" class="extiw" title="en:English Mastiff">English Mastiff</a>, "O'Brian" an <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_Wolfhound" class="extiw" title="en:Irish Wolfhound">Irish Wolfhound</a> and "Strafford" a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lurcher" class="extiw" title="en:Lurcher">Lurcher</a>: The dogs move in at speed, but make little headway. Another dog is released. Missing all the fun a fifth dog "Shafto" a small <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bull_Terrier" class="extiw" title="en:Bull Terrier">Bull Terrier</a>...."Mad with rage and jealousy..." struggles to get free. Men with ropes, armed with <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scythe" class="extiw" title="en:Scythe">scythes</a> and pitchforks, recapture the panther.
