Summary

Middle Temple Lane. The large black doorway at the end of Middle Temple Lane leads out onto Fleet Street close to its confluence with The Strand. The main double doors were locked, but a small side door allowed access when we visited, unlike the similar doorway at the end of Inner Temple Lane. This area of London is famous for its legal associations, such as the solicitors and barristers office that can be seen on the left, and the specialist tailors on the right in this image. Middle Temple is one of the four Inns of Court, the other three being Inner Temple, Gray's Inn and Lincoln's Inn.
