Summary
Test of various wood finishes: Varnishes, oils and waxes. The test pieces are maple wood and weigh 25 g on average. The edges are rounded to avoid weak spots in the finishes. After applying the finish the pieces were stored for four months. For testing I put them into water for several hours and continuously measured their weight to determine the water absorption. The test arose in the forum <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://www.fletchers-corner.de/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=16666">Fletcher’s Corner</a>.
