Summary
A shedding blade has dull metal teeth that help remove the shedding winter hair coat of a horse or other short-haired animal. The shedding blade may be flipped over and the smooth side used as a sweat scraper in warm weather. Unlike a brush or a rubber currycomb, on a summer coat, the metal teeth may cause split ends in the hair or irritate the animal's skin, so it is a grooming tool that cannot be used for all purpose general grooming
