Summary

The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilson_cycle" class="extiw" title="en:Wilson cycle">Wilson cycle</a> describes the cyclicity in plate tectonics by forming supercontinents (Rodinia, Pangaea) and its breakup in hundreds of millions of years. It is named after the canadian geologist <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/John_Tuzo_Wilson" class="mw-redirect" title="John Tuzo Wilson">John Tuzo Wilson</a> (1908-1993).
