K. T. S. Padannayil is an Indian actor in Malayalam movies.[1] He was one of the prominent supporting actor in late 1990s in Malayalam movies. He has acted in more than 50 movies.[2]

Biography

He was born as the youngest among six children to Kochupadannayil Thai and Maani at Thekkumbhagam, Thrippunithura, Kochi on 1933. He has three brothers, Murukan, Raghavan and Shivan and two sisters, Lalitha and Lathika.[3] He studied at Saraswathi Vilasam School, Tripunithura. He discontinued studies after sixth class due to financial difficulties. He was a theater artist before becoming cine artist. He first acted and directed amateur drama Vivaha Dallal, at Trippunithura Khadibhavan's Amber charkha spinning mill's Annual day celebration. He also trained youngsters of the Children’s Society at Kannankulangara. He had acted more than 1000s of stages within 40 years. He performed at different drama troupes like Jayabharath Nithakalalaya, Chenagassery Geetha, Vaikom Malavika, Kollam Tuna and Attingal Padmasree. In a career spanning around 13 years he has acted in more than 60 films and has so far starred in more than 100 of television comedy serials.[4]

He is married to Ramani on 1972. The couple has three sons, Syam, Sannan, Saljan and a daughter, Swapna.[5] Currently he resides at Kochi with his son, Syam.[6] He made his debut in the movie Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava in 1995.
