Éauze (officially Eauze) is a commune in the Gers department in southwestern France.
History
Éauze takes its names from the Gaulish Aquitani tribe of the Elusates.
The ancient bishopric of Éauze (or Elusa) in Gaul was united with the episcopal see of Auch probably in the 9th century. Its Latin name, Elusa, is identical to that of a titular see of Palaestina Tertia, suffragan of Petra.
