A.P.B. is an upcoming American drama television series set to be broadcast on Fox in 2016. The series has been commissioned on May 10, 2016[1] and is set to air mid-season. A first trailer has been released on May 16, 2016.[2]
Plot
A tech-billionaire purchases a poor police precinct, hoping to close the file of a murder of a loved one. The story is losely based on the New York Times-article "Who Runs the Streets of New Orleans?"[3]

Production
Development
Fox ordered the pilot of David Slack's police procedural about a tech billionaire who purchases a troubled police precinct.[4] Matt Nix was hired to take over the creative reigns (showrunner) of A.P.B. on March 24, 2016.[5][6]
Casting
On February 12, 2016, Natalie Martinez was cast as Amelia Murphy.[7] On February 22, 2016, Caitlin Stasey was cast as Ada Hamilton.[8] On March 1, 2016, Taylor Handley as cast as Officer Roderick Brandt.[9] On March 11, 2016, Justin Kirk and Eric Winter were cast as Gideon Reeves and Sgt. Tom Murphy respectively.[10][11] On March 15, 2016, Ernie Hudson was cast as Sgt. Ed Conrad.[12]
Filming
Filming was temporarily shut down when Slack left the show over creative differences some time before March 25, 2016, as Nix is now in charge.[5][6][13] Fox announced that season 1 of the show would be shot in Chicago on May 11, 2016.[14]
