Allison MacLean

Her partner was Konrad Schaub. The two began skating together in 1981.[citation needed] They worked their way up the Canadian categories from Juvenile to Senior.[citation needed] In 1988, they represented Canada at Junior Worlds in Brisbane, Australia, finishing 4th.[citation needed] They competed in Mentana, Italy at the international Autumn Trophy Mezzaluna that same year, placing 3rd.[1]
In 1992 Maclean and Schaub moved to Vienna, Austria and began training under Olympic coach Peter Schubl.[citation needed] Allison was granted citizenship in 1994,[citation needed] enabling the team to compete in international competitions representing Austria. As the champions of Austria, MacLean and Schaub went on to win international medals.[citation needed] They represented Austria at European Championships, as well as the World Championships in 1995 and 1996.[citation needed]
1996 was their last year of competing.[citation needed] Coincidentally, their final competition,[citation needed] the 1996 World Championships, were held in their hometown of Edmonton. Upon their retirement from competitive skating, they were the world's longest standing team, having skated together for 15 years.[citation needed]
