As of the census of 2000, there were 260 people, 89 households, and 71 families residing in the borough. The population density was 286.4 people per square mile (110.3/km²). There were 91 housing units at an average density of 100.2 per square mile (38.6/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 97.31% White, and 2.69% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.38% of the population.

There were 89 households out of which 33.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.2% were married couples living together, 10.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.2% were non-families. 19.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.72 and the average family size was 3.11.

In the borough the population was spread out with 27.7% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 26.2% from 45 to 64, and 13.1% who were 65 years of age or older.
