- 2011 – Occupy Wall Street Oakland Protests Riots. October. Protesters shattered windows, set fires, and plastered buildings with graffiti. Riot police fired heavy amounts of tear gas on the protesters.
- 2012 – NATO 2012 Chicago Summit May. Conflict between riot police. Dozens of demonstrators clubbed and arrested.
- 2012 – Anaheim police shooting and protests, July 28. Violence erupted after multiple shootings in the neighborhood by police that included unarmed Manuel Diaz. 24 people were arrested
- 2013 - Taylor, Michigan, January 12. An unexpected shortage of Section 8 housing vouchers results in rioting.
- 2013 - Huntington Beach Unrest, July 29, Riots broke out after surf competition. Rioters damaged cars, newspaper vendors, street signs, and windows.
- 2013 - Michigan State Riot, Dec 9, 15 Arrested, over 57 Fires after MSU's win over Ohio State
- 2013 – Brooklyn Riots, March 9. Riots erupt for several nights after the controversial shooting of Kimani Gray. Over 46 demonstrators were arrested.
- 2013 – Seattle May Day Protest Riots, May 1st, 17 Arrested as Seattle May Day Protests Turn Violent.
- 2014 – Deltopia Party Turns Violent, University of California, Santa Barbara, April 5, Over 80 Arrested and over 8 police officers Injured.[1]
- 2014 – Ferguson, Missouri, August 10. Protests turned into violent riots and unrest after the death of teenager Michael Brown, who was shot by a Ferguson police officer. Multiple arrests because of curfew violations and looting.[2]
- 2014 – New York City/Berkeley, California – After prosecutors and a grand jury refused to indict a police officer in the death of Eric Garner, many people protested against it in New York City and other cities, some of them causing unrest. In New York, several people were arrested for assault on a police officer, and in Berkeley, multiple people were arrested for looting and vandalizing.
- 2014 - New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival Riots - Police tried to disperse rowdy crowd that set fires and threw bottles
- 2014 - 2014 Riverwalk riot - Greenville, North Carolina police used tear gas to disperse 3000 protesters near the campus of East Carolina University. A bus was destroyed amid a mostly quiet Halloween event.[3]
- 2015 - Kentucky Riots - 31 Rioting Fans Arrested after Kentucky loss in Final Four. Large disturbances and many fires set.
- 2015 – Baltimore – After days of peaceful protests, rioting and looting began on Monday, April 27, 2015 following the death of Freddie Gray while in police custody. 201[4] people have been arrested and 98[4] police officers injured, 7 seriously, and 2 people shot. One fire victim in critical condition.[5] Baltimore Orioles home game against the Chicago White Sox on April 27 postponed due to unrest and the threat of violence. Damage included looting of a CVS and other establishments as well as the burning down of a construction site that was to be a senior center. On Friday, May 1, 2015, Baltimore state attorney, Marilyn Mosby, charges six police officers in the death of Freddie Gray; charges included 2nd Degree Assault, False Imprisonment, Negligence, Manslaughter, and Depraved Heart Murder.
