From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
The 1994 bond market crisis or Great Bond Massacre saw a very sudden and sharp drop in bond market prices across the developed world.[1][2] It started in the U.S. and Japan and then spread through the rest of the world.[3] Yields on 30-year Treasuries rose by about 200 basis points in the first nine months of the year.[4]
