AA Insurance Limited was launched in 1994 and is a joint venture between the New Zealand Automobile Association and Suncorp-Metway Limited.
AA Insurance has over 580[1][2] staff servicing 300,000 plus customers and manages more than 500,000 policies. Over half of those policies cover motor insurance risks including cars, motorcycles, caravans, boats, and motor homes, and the remainder are house and contents insurance.
In November 2011, AA Insurance was named New Zealand's best workplace.[3] The company has also been finalists in their category in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.[4] In 2013, Reader's Digest voted AA Insurance NZ's most trusted insurance brand, for the 3rd time running.
AA Insurance Ltd has an A+ (Strong) Insurer Financial Strength Rating given by Standard and Poor’s (Australia) Pty Ltd.[5]
