Acid Memories was a cassette created by Boards of Canada released in 1989 under their own label Music70. It was released in highly limited quantities to friends and family of the band. Except for a 26-second excerpt of "Duffy" formerly available on the EHX website (Electronic Audio Artform in The Capital) in the late 1990s, it is not available to the public. This sample can be found on YouTube.

Controversy

Images of the album cover show the name "Boards of Canada". Supposedly, that image was once available in the website of Music70. The album was released as a cassette in 1989 and was never re-released. The band claimed that it did not "officially" use the name "Boards of Canada" until the year of 1994, bringing the authenticity of this image (and perhaps the existence of the album itself) into question.
