Career

He is a member of the bands Ivy, Paco and Camera2 (formerly Brookville). He is also co-owner of New York City recording studio Stratosphere Sound with partners James Iha (ex-Smashing Pumpkins), and Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne, Ivy).[1]

In 1995, Chase co-produced and engineered (alongside Schlesinger) the title track for the Tom Hanks film That Thing You Do!. He has also done production on albums by Smashing Pumpkins, Tahiti 80, The Postmarks, Ghost Beach, Juliana Hatfield, Volován, The Divine Comedy, The Trash Can Sinatras and Fountains of Wayne.

In 2003, Chase founded Unfiltered Records, which went on to release records by The Postmarks, Ivy and Brookville.

He is married to Ivy singer Dominique Durand.

Many songs Chase wrote and produced have been featured in films and television shows, including There's Something About Mary, Me Myself & Irene, Shallow Hal, Orange County, Insomnia, Stuck on You, Fever Pitch, Bee Season and Music and Lyrics.

He also voice acted for the video game Kya: Dark Lineage.
