Anjarakandy Higher Secondary School

More than 13000 students study in the school, from standard 5 through to standard 10 and additional +1 and +2 classes in higher secondary sections.
The school was first established in 1930. The school was set up as an Upper primary school to cater for the successful students from 5 Lower primary schools in the locality. Many great scholars studied and were taught in this school including the famous Malayali poet[citation needed].
This school received the "Best school in Kerala" award in 2000[citation needed].
