Anopheles punctipennis is a species of mosquito.[1] It transmits the parasite the causes malaria, Plasmodium falciparum, in the North American epidemiological zone. They are identified from other Anopheles species by having wings with areas of white or yellow scales, and palpi lacking the white bands otherwise seen in An. psuedopuntipennis.
