Blaž Mesiček (born June 12, 1997) is a Slovenian professional basketball player for Union Olimpija of the Slovenian League. Born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, he is a 1.97 m tall Shooting guard. For the 2014–15 he was on loan with Slovenian second tier club Škofja Loka. He was the best player of the team and one of the best scorer of the league. In summer 2015 he signed a pro contract with Union Olimpija and he is expected to get enough minutes to present his skills on a higher level. He was recognised by FIBA and will play at FIBA European U18 All-Star Game during European Championship 2015 in Lille France as one of the best 24 young players.[1]
Career
Mesiček grew up with Grosuplje. In summer 2013 he joined Union Olimpija and played first season for U-17 and U-19 team.
