Breidablick is a populated place in north Kitsap County, Washington.[1] The name was chosen in 1892 by Ole M. Abel, who had a post office in his store, referring to the mythical Norse Breidablik. Breidablick had its north end at the modern intersection of Big Valley Road and Washington State Route 3 and its south end near Lofall, Washington. Some area names still exist, including Breidablik Chapel and Breidablik Evergreen Cemetery.[2] Two Breidablik Elementary Schools were built: the first elementary opened in 1894 and closed in 1942; the second opened in 1990 and closed in 2013.[2][3][4]
