Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. Bryan Organ (born 31 August 1935,[1] Leicester)[2] is an English painter.

He is mainly known for his work in portraiture, and has painted likenesses of many public figures. He is represented at the National Portrait Gallery, in London.

His best known portrait is of Lady Diana Spencer, which was commissioned and completed in 1981.[3] It's an acrylic on canvas, on display at the National Portrait Gallery.[1] Another iconic figure he has painted is of Elton John, wearing a Marilyn Monroe shirt. Organ is godfather to Prince Harry.

He has also painted the official portraits of the last 3 Chancellors of the University of Oxford (Harold Macmillan, Roy Jenkins and Chris Patten).

One of his most recent and popular paintings was of Martin Johnson the England rugby manager and 2003 Rugby World Cup winning captain.[2]
