Castleknock Community College, is an Irish secondary school located in Castleknock, County Dublin. Established in 1995, the school is part of the "Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board".

The college is a co-educational post-primary school catering to an ever-increasing population growth within the barony of Castleknock. A comprehensive academic curriculum is promoted in addition to a wide-ranging programme of extra-curricular activities.

History

The college opened on 30 August 1995 in temporary accommodation at Hartstown Community School. An official visit by the Minister for Education, Niamh Bhreathnach, took place on December 1996. The first students sat the Leaving Certificate examination in June 2000. President McAleese visited the school in 2005.

The school's first principal was Tom O'Brien who was replaced by John Cronin in 2009 when he retired.

After many years of protest the college finally received funding in 2014, that it had been promised years previously to build a new sports hall and several new classrooms. Construction was completed in June 2015 and the new building will be first open to students in the term commencing September 2015.
