The Center for U.S.–Mexico Immigration Analysis (CUSMIA) is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit research institute whose purpose is to pursue the deepening of knowledge and understanding in relation to immigration/human migration/migration between Mexico and the United States. CUSMIA's mission is the pursuit of knowledge and understanding to facilitate inclusiveness in the global community.
Based in Dallas, Texas, CUSMIA was formed in 2006 in response to mounting political, societal, and economic concerns about border control and undocumented immigration/migration flows with Mexico. While many in the U.S. view the surge in undocumented immigration/migration from Mexico as a domestic crisis, CUSMIA is dedicated to evaluating such concerns through bipartisan, research-based methods.
