Chesterton Community Sports College is a secondary school and specialist sports college in Newcastle Under Lyme attended by an estimated 500 students. Feeder schools include Chesterton Primary, Crackley Bank, and St. Chads.
In 2006 they introduced music and drama into the curriculum. The school also has a full-time music teacher and a full-time drama teacher. CCSC has recently gained their best GCSE Results yet.
Lessons
All pupils have six lessons a day, which include: Math, English, Science, PHSCE, PE, RE, Geography, Art, Technology, History, Music, Drama, and IT. From Year 9 on student take their options, which include: GCSE Dance, GCSE ICT, History and many more.
Resources
The school has full use of the two Libraries, Hall Stage and Sports Hall. They also have use of technology rooms, a music room and a drama studio. Students have their own personal laptops provided by the school.
