Chloé Zhao
Chloé Zhao is a Chinese-American writer and filmmaker.

Early life
Zhao was born in Beijing but spent her teenage years in Brighton, UK. She studied political science at Mount Holyoke College after which she enrolled in the filmmaking program at New York University.[1]
Career
Zhao made her feature film debut with Songs My Brothers Taught Me. The film premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival as part of the U.S. Official Competition.[2] It later played at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival as part of the Director's Fortnight selection. Fortissimo Films acquired the film as its international sales agent. The film was released in theaters in France by Diaphana Distribution. [3]
