Cyclops Shōjo Saipu (サイクロプス少女さいぷ~?) is a 4-panel manga series written and illustrated by Tora-Yasu. It was adapted into an original net animation (ONA) in 2013.[1] The comedy focuses on the adventures of a middle school girl nicknamed "Saipu" (さいぷ saipu?), based on cyclops (サイクロプス saikuropusu?) because of her height and because her hair shows one of her eyes.[1]

Characters

  • Fuuka Saitou ( 斎藤 楓香 Saitō Fuuka?), the title character, is a 14-year-old girl in her second year of middle school (8th grade).[2] Because of her tall 180 cm (5 ft 11 in) stature, and her hairstyle that only covers one of her eyes, she is nicknamed "Saipu" (さいぷ?), which is short for the cyclops (サイクロプス saikuropusu?) of mythology.[1] Two years before the start of the series, when she was shorter than her brother Hikaru, she makes a promise that she would grow up and marry him.Ch. 1 She has a strong brother complex and is extremely sensitive and jealous of any female affections directed towards him.Ch. 12, 13, 29, 34 She often cosplays as girls that Hikaru likes,Ch. 11, 22, 35 and teases him with perverted innuendos, although some situations turn out to be innocent wordplay.Ch. 1, 2 She is admired by classmatesCh. 1 and Hikaru's friendsCh. 6 for her model-like figure and large breasts.Ch. 1 Besides having great looks, she is a resourceful cookCh. 5 and has excellent grades,Ch. 8 although she is afraid of ghosts.Ch. 28 When asked why she does not show her left eye, Fuuka replies that it hides a dark power.Ch. 35 In the anime webisodes, she is voiced by Mai Nakahara.

He is the shortest at 165 cm (5 ft 5 in)[3] in his family, and has to regularly fend off Saipu's teases and advances,Ch. 1 as well as others in the series. On the one day when Fuuka gives him the cold shoulder, Hikaru becomes flustered.Ch. 41, 42 Hikaru is voiced by Kengo Takanashi in the anime webisodes.

Fuuka has several female classmates that she regularly hangs out with: Rin (りん Rin?)
