DL Crucis is a variable star in the constellation Crux. It is a blue-white supergiant of spectral type B1.5Ia, with a radius around 40 times and a mass 30 times that of the Sun. An Alpha Cygni variable, it ranges between apparent magnitudes 6.24 and 6.28 over a period of roughly 2 days 21 hours.[2] Hence it is just visible with the unaided eye in an outer suburban/rural transition sky.[8]
