Glen Waverley line

Darling railway station is located on the Glen Waverley line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Malvern East, having opened on 24 March 1890.[1]

The line though the station was originally built to link Burnley to the Outer Circle line and on to Oakleigh. The outer part of the line beyond Darling closed on 9 December 1895,[2] and was not extended to Glen Waverley until 1930. Darling was upgraded to a Premium station in 2008.
