Denis Sergeevich Khodykin (Russian: Денис Сергеевич Ходыкин, born 6 July 1999) is a Russian pair skater. With partner Daria Pavliuchenko, he is the 2017 JGP Belarus champion.

Career

Khodykin began learning to skate in 2004.[1] He trained as a single skater until 2015 when he switched to pair skating and teamed up with Maria Bogoslavskaia with whom he skated 2015–16 season.[2] He then teamed up with Daria Pavliuchenko.

Partnership with Pavliuchenko

Khodykin and Daria Pavliuchenko began competing together in 2016.[2] They are coached by Sergei Dobroskokov and Sergei Rosliakov in Moscow.[1]

Pavliuchenko/Khodykin placed 5th at the 2017 Russian Junior Championships.

Pavliuchenko/Khodykin made their international debut in late September 2017 at the Junior Grand Prix (JGP) competition in Minsk, Belarus, where they won the gold medal. They beat the silver medalist, their teammates Anastasia Poluianova / Dmitry Sopot, by about 4 points.[3]
