Summary

One of widespread mistake done by qualified electricians is joining old aluminium wires with copper.

  • How to be, if there comes old aluminium wires from source side and you should put new copper cable to consumer side?

-To do this connection, you should use terminal with separated parts as it's shown on the photo. So, aluminium and copper will be connected to metal which is not conflicting with them. As there no metal conflict, joining will work without any heating or melting. And also without burning smell.
