Flanary Archeological Site is a historic archaeological site located near Dungannon, Scott County, Virginia. The site is located on a sandy terrace across the Clinch River from Dungannon. It was home to Native Americans 8,000 years ago. In 1977, an archaeological dig unearthed signs of a palisaded village that was erected during the Woodland Mississippian period, around 900 AD, and disappeared for unknown reasons around 1600 AD.[3]

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.[1]
